ZURICH INSURANCE BECOMES THE NAMING PARTNER OF THE ROCK ‘N’ ROLL RUNNING SERIES MADRID

The race will be named Zurich Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series Madrid

The Swiss insurance company signs as naming partner of the Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series Madrid. This alliance arrives 50 days prior to the 44th edition of the race, which has 3 different distances: marathon, half marathon and 10k with approximately 30 000 runners. The agreement between Zurich and Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series Madrid is extended until 2025.

The origins of the queen of the Spanish marathons go back to 1978, ever since then the Madrid marathon has positioned itself as a quality referent nationally and internationally. Its numbers haven’t stopped growing until becoming one of the leaders in the Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Circuit in Europe (the biggest running event globally). In addition to having one of the most beautiful and touristic circuits running through the heart of Madrid, the Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series Madrid is a running party, with more than 30 animation stages located along the race circuit.

The Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series Madrid is also a great incentive for tourism and the perfect showcase for the city of Madrid, having 10 000 international runners from 100 different countries visit Madrid. 

For Zurich this partnership, in addition to its recent partnership with Valencia and the renovation with Sevilla, Barcelona and San Sebastian, represents a new positioning on the national territory becoming the first company with presence in the top 5 races according to RFEA.

Pedro Rumbao, general director of the Zurich Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series Madrid, was also extremely satisfied with the agreement reached: “That a prestigious multinational company like Zurich is looking at us and betting so firmly on our event fills us with pride; it is a sign that we are working on the right path, as well as an important injection of motivation for the years to come. From the first contact with Zurich we were sure that both parties share the same values of passion and respect for running, a very similar way of understanding sport, and hence the ease with which everything has been forged in such a short time. It’s a very exciting project.

As part of its activation, Zurich will invite its employees and distributors, as well as through sweepstakes in its running community, active in social networks, and also in de Pies a Cabeza, the community dedicated to the promotion of sport and healthy habits, both physical and mental.
